girlGraveIf you are reading this you most likely saw a sign that said "Grateful Americans Needed."  On Memorial Day, May 30, 2016, will be the Sixth Annual Commemorative Ceremony "Oregon Remembers."  The event will honor those who have given their lives for our freedom.  The program will be conducted with the utmost care and thoughtfulness.  The ceremony is designed to be appropriate for Americans of all ages who want to gain an appreciation and understanding of the intended meaning and purpose for this important national holiday.  The event is family friendly and children are welcome.  Please come and be a part of this special day.  Volunteers are needed as well as financial support to help defray the cost of the event.  To help or to have a question answered, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  The location for the 11 a.m. "Oregon Remembers" Commemorative Ceremony is Restlawn Memory Gardens in West Salem.  The location for the 2:30 p.m. "Oregon Remembers" Commemorative Ceremony is Fir Lawn Memorial Park.  Both ceremonies will last 40 minutes.  Appropriate Military Honors will be a part of the ceremony as well as participation from representatives and loved ones of those we seek to honor.  We look forward to joining with you to say thank you to America's Heroes.  They deserve our best.  They have given everything.  We encourage you to teach your children about the real meaning of Memorial Day.
